Spiritual art is like “a window into the spiritual world.” – Srila Prabhupada

In their first art class of the year, Upper Elementary and Middle School students step into gardens they create. They are learning about Gustav Klimt and his impressionist art, mimicking his “Flower Garden” pieces with acylic pain.

Art teacher, Shabnam Modjarred, or Mother Shobby as she is lovingly known, was trained as an architect, and is an artist by trade. Her love for colors and details within nature serve as her constant teacher and she is increasingly mindful of her impact on the natural environment. Her art has been showcased at numerous exhibitions and art galleries in Dallas. She also teaches weekly yoga to the students.
