Art has many roles, one being advocacy; expressing and sharing our voice with the world through art.

Students in grades 4th-12th, have taken the role of advocating for Mother Earth through their artwork. They learned about the impact we can make on the environment through our habits and daily choices. It can be a positive impact or one that is harmful to our land and the animals inhabiting it.

In this art show, “Footprint”, students shared their projects and findings to increase awareness. All the items used to create the art pieces for the show were found around the house or at the nearby White Rock Lake. The idea was to use what we otherwise discard as trash, without thinking about its impact.

Change the world, one piece of trash at a time.
