On Monday, June 25th, 2012, TKG Academy teachers and students were honored to welcome His Holiness Hridayananda Maharaj to the Gurukula. He is senior spiritual leader and disciple of Srila Prabhupada, and one of the first leaders to promote the importance of a strong academic education in ISKCON. He is extremely intelligent and so loving as well. Teachers were looking forward to his visit for many months.
He spent individual time with TKG Academy teachers, the graduated High School students, and with the elementary students and their parents. He inspired the High Schoolers to think about which talents they can use to spread Krishna consciousness. He talked to the teachers about unity, working together and being strong enough to speak the truth, as a true brahmana. His interest and love gave us renewed enthusiasm for the next school year.
He has also become one of our distinguished donors, giving $600 every month towards the Scholarship Fund and other expenses. We are very fortunate to have his association and his guidance at TKG Academy.
We pray that he can continue to shower his blessings upon our efforts to educate the children excellently, spiritually and materially. By his blessings, we hope to make His Holiness Tamal Krishna Goswami and Srila Prabhupada proud of TKG Academy’s students and staff.
